Day 19: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Yep, the Audrey Cluster Necklace is fabulous. It may be one of my favorites...it looks great looped and worn long. And yes, the Soiree Studs once again graced my elf-like ears.
And I am going to break format and talk about this happy green dress!
This is the dress that Z got me a few years ago for my birthday. It is one of my few true classic designer dresses. It is a Diane von Furstenberg and my all-time favorite dress. I wish I owned more of her wonderful and flattering attire.

Day 18: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Day 18: Today was great! Everything is coming together as it should. Oh happy day! Today the Goa Earrings rocked my lobes and the delicate Pave Ellipse Necklace was front and center!

Day 17: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Day 17 was not too bad. No tears, no tantrums by others and things are moving along as they need to be. I am definitely exhausted and stressed but my diet is really the only thing that suffers, as I am definitely not getting enough to eat these days. This too shall pass!
Today I paired the Cascade Chain Necklace with a borrowed silver La Coco Chain and the Soiree Studs. Received some great compliments from one of the most stylish women I know. I'll take it! Two days away from the Gala Patron Party, a week and a half away from Gala. And then I can rest!

Day 16: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
See the look on my face? It says it all. Yep, I saw my daughter for a total of ten minutes today. Awesome. At least the accessories look good while the rest of me is on the verge of tears. This picture was taken this morning, before I even got to the office. Less than two weeks out. So much to do and so little time for my family. How is life like this?
But at least the Pave Ellipse Necklace, Chelsea Necklace and Signature Clover make me happy!

Special Edition: Bad Day, Good Look part 2
Today's matinee called for a classic piece... classic and fun. The Sofia Pearl Bib took center stage accompanied by the Grace Pearl Bauble.
Check me out trying to pose. It is surprisingly hard to take a picture everyday and post it on the blog.

Special Edition: Bad Day, Good Look
The Nolita necklace dominated my night at the opera. Women of all ages went crazy for its fabulous-ness. And in my ever so humble opinion it is well deserved! This piece turned a simple black dress into a stunner! Paired with the Nolita was the Bardot Silver Bangle and the Revival Bracelet...and of course, the Soiree Studs.

Day 15: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Lordy. I wept openly today...if it can go wrong, it seems that it will. Two weeks away and so much to be done. It will be fabulous, It will be fabulous, It will be fabulous, the more I say it, the more it will come true.
Today the Revival Tassel Necklace returned, but this time paired with the La Coco Gold Pearl Strand, the Revival Bracelet and of course....the Soiree Studs.
Don't forget that tomorrow I will be posting an extra special picture of the opening night of Rigoletto and a SPECTACULAR necklace that is being debuted. Arias, parties, champagne and looking fabulous. It is rough some times.

Day 14: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Today's post has many a picture. One normal, if that is possible, one of my fabulous shoes and one that Z liked. Why three? Why not. Today, rather than feeling down about things I felt angry...which made me decisive...And I did it while sporting a frock I love and blingy shoes. And some great jewelry of course! Today's jewelry du jour was the Cascading Chain Necklace, the Revival Bracelet, and of course, the Soiree Studs. As I learned today, the necklace is quite an eye-catcher!

Day 13: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Hmmm...best not to discuss the day.
It was a gorgeous day today and it was time to break out some SILVER Stella & Dot! Today the Avery Chains and Pearls necklace made its debut. It was a solid debut as people definitely commented on the necklace. Once again, the Soiree studs finished the look.

Day 12: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Day 12: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
This was a definite ouch kinda day...the hits just keep comin'! But regardless, my good look saved the day! Today I was told, by the most stylish social butterfly I know that she liked my look, "liked the style" I had going on...Social experiment proven true! Looking good can help out a bad day with an ego boost!
So want to know what Stella & Dot I sported today?
Today the Goa Pendant Earrings were featured and I paired the gold Nugget Wrap Bracelet with the Revival Bracelet.
There will be two special posts this week as I have two big nights this weekend, Opening Night Cast Party on Friday and the Inner Circle Cast Party Sunday. Am definitely going to sport some standout pieces to those two events. Can't wait! So many great baubles to choose from.
And best of all this weekend is that Saturday Night I have a trunk show at a fabulous and gorgeous friend's house! In addition to that excitement, I booked another trunk show tonight! With the one I am holding in Covington in April, that will make two already on the books for April! So excited, thank you everyone for your support!
Happy Tuesday!

Day 11: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Ah, Monday...15 office days to go until gala. It will be beautiful.
Today I sported some new pieces that I got thanks to my amazingly fun and easy launch party for Stella & Dot. The Hostess benefits are amazing...if you're interested, let's chat.
Today's look included the Chelsea Necklace, the Signature Clover Necklace and the Pave Ellipse Necklace. LOVE the ellipse necklace. It is super delicate and feminine and is tremendously flattering on the neckline. Like a whisper.
Playing with this jewelry everyday is quite a bit of fun and I am having to plan out my outfits in the evening, which is not such a bad thing, especially since I am now back in my pre-preggo skinny jeans. Thanks Running!

Day 10: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Day 10. Wow only a handful of fire drills and a fever. Today chalks up to a good Friday. This is my last post for all those who have no jewelry interest, as I will no longer post Bad Day, Good Look on my personal facebook account. To keep up with the fabulous jewelry and to see if I actually make it to gala, you can check it out through my facebook fan page.
Today I sported the Audrey Cluster necklace and the Soiree Studs. I love those earrings. PPW is droppin' mighty quick!
Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend! And it was great to see everyone in their new Stella & Dot this week!

Day 9: Bad Day Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Ouch. that is all I am going to say. Thank you to everyone who has liked my facebook stella & dot page...I am now a page, whatever that means. I greatly appreciate you letting me periodically bombard you with fabulous jewelry.
Today's look was more delicate and layered than I usually go...would love some feedback to your personal style preference: bold or delicate?
My friend JoJo described her look as bohemian chic...I loved that and thought it would be a great question to ask,so that said, what would you describe your look as?
Anyway, today I wore the Pave Ellipse with the Penelope necklace and the Deco Drop earrings
I promise that tomorrow will be the last day of me posting about Stella & dot on my personal Facebook page, thanks for bearing with me...unless of course it is excellent and no one should miss out. Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala, will live on at my facebook fan page, Morgan Vaughn, Independent Stylist, Stella & Dot.
Upcoming Event Reminder:
Husbands and Sons, Mother's Day is right around the corner....

Day 8: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Today I worked from the far North Dallas office so that I could knock out some copy and try to put out some fires...I am halfway there. The copy is knocked out and despite dousing the "flames" solutions are still being sought. But considering that I was the only one to notice my outfit today, I still wore some Stella & Dot. The soiree studs are getting a ton of wear. If I do the PPW (price per wear)breakdown, their original cost of $24 is now $6 per wear and that cost is going to continue to drop! The PPW factor is a huge player for me when it comes to shopping.
I also wore the revival tassel necklace with the la coco gold chain around my neck and the revival bracelet on my wrist. I am a big fan of the revival baubles and find myself repeatedly drawn to them. A good thing in the world of PPW.

Day 7: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Day 7: Today was better. Of course that isn't saying much. I was able to draw some lines in the sand while sporting the together forever necklace and the go-to soiree studs. You will notice the earrings are not in the picture, but that is only because I decided after the fact that my ears needed some "pop"!

Day 6: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Today was a doozy and am now referring to it as "panic Monday". Sometimes a girl just gets overwhelmed, ya know? So freaked out a little internally, which is never good. But I dressed up today. I knew exactly what the day would hold...no doubt in my mind which is why I messengered Ms. R Gibson last night to borrow the Sophia! I needed a serious piece for a seriously craptastic day. It did the trick because at least I look good when I am in over my head. Narcissistic, I know, but therapeutic, absolutely!

Day 5: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Today was better, things went okay...no big misses. I saved the Audrey Cluster Necklace until today. It is a Friday piece, as it garners a lot of attention. This may be the bauble that got the most remarks all week. I paired it with the La Coco Gold Chain, a necklace that is turning out to be so super-versatile that it can even be a fabulous bracelet. Am continually impressed by the style and thought in Stella and Dot...
P.S.
Boy am I pale!

Day 4: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Day 4: Today looked like it was going to be so bad, can't you just tell from the look on my face? I was tempted to not go in...ever again. But a paycheck is a necessity, so off I went in my soon to be worn everyday Deco Drop Earrings and the ever- fabulous and simply beautiful La Coco Gold Pearl Strand. Numerous compliments on both pieces...made my day much brighter!
Wednesday, March 9, 2011
Day 3 Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me to gala
Day 3: The Audrey Cluster Bracelet and the Penelope Necklace. Today was rough, more things added to my plate that I did not anticipate. Not sure I am going to make it....but was asked to show off my Bad Day, Good Look ensemble.
And I must shout out to Laraine, my very first customer!
Tuesday, March 8, 2011
Day 2: Bad Day, Good Look: how accessories got me through to Gala
Day 2: La Coco Chain + La Coco Gold Pearl Strand + Paradise Brooch...got me through a day that begins my bi-monthly CFO one on one and where my March 31st party location tried to cancel. But so many compliments on the accessories!

Today's pairing: The Revival Tassel Necklace and the Soiree Studs!

Stella and Dot
I am pleased to announce my new position as a Stylist for Stella and Dot, an incredible jewelry company.
By day I will remain the Special Events Manager for the Dallas Opera, but by night (and weekends) I will be a Stylist organizing trunk shows for Stella and Dot and introducing fabulous jewelry to all my friends and their friends and so on and so forth...
I was introduced to Stella and Dot jewelry about a year ago and fell in love with it, but never even considered that I could be a Stylist for the company, but here I am, a new mother, still figuring this parenthood thing and the opportunity presented itself and despite how busy and crazy things are, I had to explore it. So before any decision was made, I set up a little experiment, I wore the piece I purchased at the first trunk show I attended and decided that I would wear it to the office. If anyone complimented me on it I would heavily consider taking on the role of Stylist...the results were overwhelming: from the time I stepped off of the elevator to the time I entered my cube, I had received three compliments on the necklace. I signed up immediately.
So it is with great pleasure that I invite you to the world of Stella and Dot.
Happily,
Morgan
